Look for Simon Pagenaud to drive with Garry Rogers Motorsport at the Armor All Gold Coast 600 this October.
The French sportscar star has been linked to the Fujitsu-backed team, although team officials would not comment.
It is unclear whether he will partner with Lee Holdsworth or Michael Caruso in the twin 300km races during the international-flavoured event.
Team owner Garry Rogers offered Speedcafe.com a firm “no comment” when asked about Pagenaud.
“I have no comment to make regarding our Gold Coast drivers,” Rogers said.
Twenty eight of the world's best drivers are set to compete on the Surfers Paradise street circuit, teaming up with the regular V8 drivers.
V8 Supercars has been tight-lipped on its drivers for the second-running of the Gold Coast street race, preferring to announce all of its drivers in once. It is believed that the drivers will be confirmed later next month.
Pagenaud looks set to join the list of other international drivers already revealed by Speedcafe.com that includes Ryan Briscoe, Patrick Long and Dario Franchitti (Walkinshaw Racing), Vitantonio Luizzi (Tony D'Alberto Racing), Will Power and Mika Salo (Ford Performance Racing), Ben Collins (Kelly Racing), Joey Hand (Dick Johnson Racing), Alex Wurz (Tekno Autosports), Jan Magnussen and Boris Said (Paul Morris Motorsport) and Andy Priaulx and Sebastien Bourdais (Triple Eight).
Pagenaud, who turned 27 yesterday, won the 2006 Champ Car Atlantic Championship with Team Australia. He drove for the green and gold team in the Champ Car series in 2007 before taking on sportscar racing, first with de Ferran Motorsports, then with Highcroft Racing.
The Armor All Gold Coast 600 will be held on October 21-23.
