
Besides the second round of the international series, the event also featured the national Radical, Formula Open and Formula 4 categories.
Dan Wells and Emilien Carde won the first 50min Lamborghini leg. They finished ahead of Gavin Huang and Jonathan Cecotto with Leong Hon Chio and Miki Koyama third. Kiwis Marco Giltrap and Clay Osborne won the second leg, just ahead of Wells/Carde with Changwoo Lee who drove singlehandedly third.
The first of two 45min races in Round 3 of First Focus Radical Cup Australia went to Peter Paddon. He headed Cooper Cutts to the flag by 0.5s. Victory in Race 2 for Cutts gave him the overall win. Paddon recovered from off-track excursions to take second.
In the Giti Australian Formula Open Series Round 4’s first race, Ryan Macmillan scored a 5.1s victory. He won clear of Beau Russell, Miles Bromley and Kyle Evans. Russell grabbed the lead of the second race at the outset and was able to hold off Macmillan for the duration. In Race 3 Macmillan eventually passed Russell to win as Evans secured third.
James Piszcyk made it back-to-back round wins with three race victories in Australian Formula 4. He was kept in check in Race 1 by second placed Blake Purdie. Piszcyk won Race 2 ahead of Purdie with both clear of Nicolas Stati, and led throughout Race 3 from Purdie until the penultimate lap when Stati was able to get past the second placed man.
Jason Makris and his Coyote-powered Wolf F1 was the overall winner in the Australian Prototype Series round. He had a one-point advantage over Miles Lacey (Praga R1/Renault Turbo) and John-Paul Drake (Wolf F1/Peugeot Turbo) who were equal second.
There were two fields of Excels, Masters and Trophy. Shaun Pannowitch was the overall winner after four races from Kim Andersen and Brian Smith. In the Trophy series, Joel Johnson topped the weekend points ahead of Brad Vaughan and Tyce Hodge. Cameron Beller had two wins in Porsche 944 Challenge to win the round over Adam Brewer who won the third race, and Mark Verdino.
