GALLERY: Lap of Sydney Telstra 500 circuit

Speedcafe.com.au brings you a lap of the Sydney Telstra 500 street circuit in Homebush, Sydney.

Heading into the XXXX Gold Chicane

The XXXX Gold Chicane, a left-right-left chicane - note that the crucial right turn apex kerb has not been placed as yet. On Wednesday afternoon officials from V8 Supercars Australia, CAMS as well as Steven Richards and Mark Skaife were touring the circuit on a golf buggy assessing various parts of the circuit

Once the cars leave the XXXX Gold Chicane it — Once the cars leave the XXXX Gold Chicane it's a quick burst up Edwin Flack Avenue and through the fast and narrow Etihad Sweep

Exiting the Etihad Sweep it — Exiting the Etihad Sweep it's hard on the brakes for the 'Bus Stop' - officially called the Dick Smith Corner and Norton 360 Corner

The Bus Stop is a tight right-left with no room for error

The exit to the Bus Stop and then a quick run down towards the Formule 1 hotel and the Fuso Corner

The left-hand Fuso Corner - note that the outside wall on the right slowly comes in, making it a gradual left turn-in as the cars head towards the apex

The entry to the left-hand Bigpond Corner

Exit to Bigpond Corner - note that the Jim Beam Corner is not 50 metres away, making this section almost a Chicane

Exit to Armor All Corner

The run between Turns 12 and 13 (Armor All Corner and Telstra Corner), also the final two corners on the circuit, is short so look for cars to fade wide out of T12 out to the outside wall and try to make this part one big left-hand sweep

Note that the inside of the final corner features two apex kerbs, suggesting that pit entry will funnel through this section
