The Surfers Paradise meeting is always one of the most popular event on the V8 calendar, and this year, it takes on a whole new look.
Eighteen on the world’s best international drivers will invade the Gold Coast street circuit, paired with Australia’s best V8 Supercars drivers.
And for the first time, the event becomes a two-driver per-car race. With the championship on the line, there is going to be a lot to play for.
This edition of the Speedcafe V8 Race Guide looks at one of the star international drivers – Alex Tagliani – who will team up with Jason Bargwanna in the Rock Racing Commodore VE. Tagliani has raced a V8 on two occasions, back in 2006, but this will be a new challenge for him.
