Russell Ingall has announced that he will be in the Boost Mobile Super Trucks field upon its Australian return at next weekend’s Gold Coast 600.
Ingall’s only previous start in Stadium Super Trucks was at Sydney Motorsport Park in October 2018, where the series ran under AASA sanctioning.
With SST now allowed to race at CAMS events again, Ingall will enter the Gold Coast round with backing from Tony Longhurst’s The Boat Works.
“We’re back,” proclaimed Ingall along with Enforcer & The Dude co-host and SST regular Paul Morris on their latest show.
“Tony Longhurst has actually stumped up a few bucks for me to make the field, so thanks to Boat Works and Tony Longhurst. I might even run (Longhurst’s traditional number) 25.”
Two-time Dakar Rally winner Toby Price and NASCAR Cup Series runner-up Greg Biffle have already been named as starters for the SST round at the Vodafone Gold Coast 600, which commences next Friday.
SST is set to feature at as many as eight Supercars events in 2020, with Adelaide, Pukekohe, and the Gold Coast already locked in.
