FIA Formula E championship leader Lucas di Grassi will remain at the Abt Sportsline squad next season.
The Brazilian former F1 driver has put pen to paper on a new contract for the 2015/2016 season with the Audi supported outfit ahead of this weekend’s seventh round of the electric single seater series at Monaco.
Di Grassi, who drives for Audi in the FIA World Endurance Championship, leads the Formula E Championship by a point having scored victory in the inaugural race in Beijing, alongside podium finishes in Malaysia, Uruguay and Long Beach.
“I’ve got to know and appreciate the ABT Sportsline team over the last few months. I didn’t hesitate for a second when it came to extending the contract,” said di Grassi.
“We’ve been through a lot in the time we’ve spent together. Success as well as small setbacks, which just brought us even closer.
“The team and I have ambitious targets in Formula E – and I’m convinced that we will reach them together.”
