Fujitsu Racing’s Scott McLaughlin has fired the first shot in the Dunlop Series at Winton Raceway, setting the fastest time in the opening practice session.
The former series leader set a 1:25.00s, edging out the Greg Murphy Racing Commodore of Geoff Emery.
Title leader Chaz Mostert was third fastest in his Ford Performance Racing Ford, ahead of Bob Jane T-Mart’s Rodney Jane and Coates Hire Racing’s Nick Percat.
Dale Wood was sixth, while Ash Walsh, competing in a latest specification Stone Brothers FG Falcon for the first time, was seventh but suffered from a broken front roll bar during the session.
Rounding out the top 10 was George Miedecke, Scott Pye and new Minda Motorsport driver Glen Wood, who impressed in his debut V8 session, finishing 10th overall.
