The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix has been pushed out to a later date in October after the release of the 19-round 2014 MotoGP calendar.
A rejigged order will see the popular Phillip Island round set for October 26, a week later than this year.
It will follow the Malaysian Grand Prix on October 12 and Motegi in Japan a week later in a hectic schedule of three back-to-back events.
The new date gives the Aussie MotoGP greater separation from the Bathurst 1000, which this year as has occurred previously, been staged a week before the Phillip Island MotoGP.
In other developments, Argentina returns to the calendar with round three of the championship to be staged at the Termas de Rio Hondo track on April 27.
The Argentine event had been on the 2013 schedule before political unrest surrounding the nationalisation of the local arm of Honda's major sponsor, Repsol, saw it abandoned.
The 2014 championship will commence with what has become the traditional night race at Qatar's Losail circuit on March 23.
Brazil is also set to enter the 2014 calendar however the event on September 28 is subject to circuit homologation.
The only other round that is yet to be fully confirmed is the Spanish GP at Jerez, which is waiting on finalisation of a contract.
As confirmed on Tuesday, Laguna Seca will be missing from the schedule for the first time since 2004.
