The Australian Motocross Championship – the MX Nationals – has launched its 10 event calendar for 2015, which includes a visit for the first time to Shepparton.
The Series will visit the Northern Victorian town on July 19 for the seventh round of the Series. It is one of three Victorian venues. Three rounds will be held in New South Wales, three in Queensland and Murray Bridge is the sole South Australian venue.
In 2015, the Series will return to Horsham, Toowoomba and Nowra – with the backing of Motorcycling New South Wales.
The Series will open at Horsham on March 29 and will come to a conclusion at Coolum on the Sunshine Coast, on August 30 – the third round to be held in a busy August period.
“We are very excited about the 2015 championship series, and as always we have great venues and partners on board,” said MX Nationals Promoter, Kevin Williams.
“The Horsham venue has seen a lot of upgrades since our last visit and is a very committed club. Shepparton has never had a round, so that will be great for everyone, and we will be working hard with the club to produce another great race track.
“The return to Nowra is exciting and we are really looking forward to working with Daniel Gatt and the team at Motorcycling NSW.
“And finally the return to Echo Valley (Toowoomba) will be very exciting. The club has a new committee with lots of energy, and they are already working on making many improvements to the venue.”
