Online bookmaker CrownBet has been announced as the new primary sponsor for Hidden Valley's Darwin Triple Crown V8 Supercars event.
Controlled by James Packer, CrownBet takes over from the event's long-time sponsor Skycity Casino.
A three-year deal was announced by Northern Territory chief minister Adam Giles ahead of the June 17-19 event.
This year marks the 19th year of the highly popular race, which attracts more than 40,000 fans across its three days.
Last year saw a complete resurface of the circuit, which led to an entertaining trio of V8 races that included an historic 100th win for Craig Lowndes
“Economic impact analysis conducted on the event revealed an estimated $16 million in additional expenditure is injected into the Territory economy by the Supercars,” Mr Giles said.
“The CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown is more than just a car race and that's why we've invested more than $8.99 million in infrastructure upgrades at Hidden Valley as part of Budget 2016, cementing the Territory's reputation as a haven for motorsports and entertainment.”
Present at the announcement was Jason Bright, whose Brad Jones Racing outfit is sponsored by NT tourism.
