The prodigious growth on a global scale of the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour seems boundless.
For the 2017 edition from February 3-5, 36 GT3 cars will slug it out in the round-the-clock endurance classic after the field swelled to more than 60.
The outright Class A entries are spread across 10 marques, up by two from last year, with the biggest representation from Audi which will see seven R8s do battle followed by six Porsche 911 GT3 Rs.
McLaren will be represented by a quartet of 650s machines while Mercedes’ attack will see a trio of AMG GTs in the mix.
BMW has launched its most serious GT3 effort with three M6 fighters while Lamborghini will be represented by two R-EX examples and a lone Huracan GT3.
Bentley will see three Continental GT3s, spearheaded once again by British squad M-Sport’s two-pronged attack while Ferrari will see two 488s attack Mount Panorama.
Nissan, which took honours in 2015 through its NISMO Global Athlete entry, will see two factory and two private GT-Rs.
