For just the second time since 2004, next season will see the V8 Supercars Championship race exclusively in Australasia
The category has pushed hard to add international fixtures to its stable over the last decade, with races taking place in China, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.
Creating sustainable overseas races has proven a major challenge, however, with the championship yet to see out the full length of an international race contract with a promoter.

The news begs the question: Should V8 Supercars continue to chase overseas events?
