Prodrive Racing Australia has taken the covers off a new livery for Jason Bright as he celebrates his 250th Supercars round start at this weekend’s Watpac Townsville 400.
The car will display an updated white, black, purple and gold colour scheme courtesy of primary sponsor Mega Fuels, with the livery to remain on the car for the remainder of the campaign.
Supercars veteran Bright rejoined Prodrive this season after electing to take his Racing Entitlements Contract from Brad Jones Racing to the Melbourne team.
While the 44-year-old reaches a rare milestone this weekend, his team will also rack up 200 round starts at Townsville.
“It’s exciting to be running a new livery in Townsville and I would like to thank everyone at MEGA Fuels for their support so far this year,” said Bright, who sits 21st in the standings.
“The car is certainly unique. There’s nothing like this out on the track at the moment and it’s an aggressive look which I like. Hopefully with the new livery and my 250th championship round we’ll have a bit of luck and get some good results.”
The Mega Fuels FG X will hit the track in Townsville for the first time on Friday ahead of the weekend’s two, 250-kilometre races.
