Jamie Whincup will receive a new race engineer this season as the man that has been by his side for all five championship victories, Mark Dutton, moves into the role of team manager.
The change comes amid a restructure of several key positions following a 2013 season hit by the departure of then team principal Adrian Burgess.
While Roland Dane will remain in the principal role, Dutton has been elevated to team manager, replaced on Whincup’s car by existing Triple Eight employee David Cauchi.
Cauchi, a former data engineer for Whincup, spent the balance of last year race engineering Dean Fiore at Triple Eight customer outfit Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport.
The Craig Lowndes-Jeromy Moore driver-engineer partnership will remain for a seventh season, despite Moore being promoted to chief designer.
The team’s technical department will continue to be headed by Ludo Lacroix, who like Dutton and Moore, has been with the squad since Triple Eight arrived in the championship in late 2003.
Dutton replaced Lacroix as Whincup’s engineer from the third event of the 2007 season at Pukekohe.
The combination won second time out at Winton and went on to score a total of 73 race victories.
Meanwhile, the squad has also confirmed an extension of its new-for-2013 sponsorship agreement with energy drink company Red Bull through the end of the 2015 season.
A statement added that fuel giant Caltex is “substantially increasing its involvement with Red Bull Racing Australia with added prominence on the 2014 VF Commodore”.
