Ryal Harris will make his first start in the Kumho Tyre V8 Touring Car Series this month at Phillip Island.
The current SuperUtes driver and three-time V8 Utes series winner has made a handful of appearances in Super2 in the past but is yet to contest a round of Supercars’ unofficial third-tier.
He will pilot an Aussie Driver Search-backed FG Falcon when the series kicks off for 2018 at the fast Victorian circuit.
“I’m very appreciative of the opportunity to drive for Aussie Driver Search in the Kumho Series,” said Harris.
“I’ve had a few races in the Dunlop (Super2) Series and loved it.
“The aim is to bring the car home in one piece with a good result.”
Harris’ best result in Super2 is a ninth placing in the 250km enduro at Bathurst in 2014.
The Kumho V8s support the WD-40 Phillip Island 500 from April 20-22, while the ECB SuperUtes Series continues at the Winton SuperSprint on May 18-20.
