While Team 18, Dick Johnson Racing and Matt Stone Racing previewed their new liveries with renders, Thursday’s bump-in at the Reid Park Street Circuit offered a first glimpse of the cars in the flesh.
The #18 Chevrolet Camaro of Anton De Pasquale has swapped DeWalt sponsorship for Stanley Black & Decker sister brand Cub Cadet.
The familiar yellow livery has been replaced with a grey base with yellow accents.
Dick Johnson Racing duo Brodie Kostecki and Rylan Gray will race what’s likely to become a fan favourite livery.
Red is out and yellow is in for the #17 and #38 Ford Mustangs, with the change inspired by DreamWorks’ new Minions & Monsters movie.
Matt Stone Racing has also pulled the covers off of Aaron Seton’s retro livery, which takes inspiration from his father Glenn’s 1993 Australian Touring Car Championship title-winning car.
Ironically, it’s a ZL1 Camaro that will sport the colours made famous by the EB Falcon.
‘Seto Junior’ will also wear a matching race suit and will don #30 in what is his solo Supercars debut, standing in for Cameron Crick.
Reuben Goodall’s Tickford Racing Ford Mustang will be backed by MG Plasterers.
The #5 wildcard features the team’s familiar matte black base but with blue accents flanking the front bumper and skirts.
With the Townsville 500 falling on NAIDOC Week, several teams have elected to continue in their Indigenous Round liveries last seen at the Darwin Triple Crown.
The Blanchard Racing Team has split its liveries. James Golding will be back in the CoolDrive colours while Aaron Cameron retains his Liqui-Moly Blahst Indigenous Round livery.
