Touring Car Masters has released an initial baker’s dozen worth of entries ahead of the season opening race of the season in Adelaide next month.
Thirteen entries have been confirmed, with the full list to be released in the coming weeks.
Among those announced is last year’s champion Steve Johnson, who returns at the wheel of a Ford Mustang, while his 2017 title rival John Bowe is also back steering a Holden Torana in the ProMasters class.
Currently under development, Markus Zukanovic faces a race against time to have his Ford XD Falcon ready for the weekend, which could see him revert to an XA Falcon.
Should it make the grid, Zukanovic’s would be the first XD Falcon into the series, with Steve Johnson also looking to swap his Mustang for one later in the season.
Having switched cars during the off-season, Jim Pollicina has been entered in a Holden Torana, while the Monaro he drove last year has also been entered, though is yet to have its driver confirmed.
A trio of Tilleys will take to the grid, with Jamie, Brad, and Cameron competing in a Ford Mustang, Falcon GTHO and Valliant Pacer respectively.
Ben Dunn (Chevrolet Monza), Cameron Wilson (Ford Mustang), Rob Hackwood (Ford Mustang), Greg Keen (Porsche 911 RS), and Phil Showers (Ford Escort RS 1600) have also been confirmed.
The Adelaide 500 will be held on March 1-4.
Touring Car Masters’ eight-round season will then continue at Tasmania for the second event of the season, with visits at Sandown and Bathurst before reaching a conclusion at Newcastle in November.
