Late deals have seen both Tekno Autosports Holden Commodore V8 Supercars resplendent in full car sponsorships ahead of this weekend's Dick Smith Sandown 500.
Melbourne-based load handling solutions company Hiab has taken on the role of major backer for the team's #19 Jonathon Webb/Scott McLaughlin entry, while the second car of Michael Patrizi/Jonny Reid has gained support from the Normanton-based trucking firm Hawkins Transport Queensland. Both deals have been struck for the Sandown weekend only.
Sargent Security is set to return to the #19 Holden at next month's Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 having previously appeared on the car at Townsville, Ipswich and Sydney Motorsport Park. The security firm will also be represented at the season-ending Sydney Telstra 500.
Tekno Autosports' commercial manager Paul Robinson told Speedcafe.com at Sandown today that his team continues to work on locking in deals for the remaining races.
On-track action for the V8 Supercars at the Dick Smith Sandown 500 kicks off tomorrow with the first of three 40 minute practice sessions at 1015 local time.
A final practice session will follow on Saturday morning before a 20 minute qualifying session and a pair of qualifying races later in the day.
A 20 minute warm-up and a 161 lap, 500km, race will then round out the weekend's action on Sunday.
