Triple Eight Race Engineering customer team Tekno Autosports is exuding confidence after the champion V8 Supercars squad's maiden Car of the Future test at Queensland Raceway today.
Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup put Triple Eight's 2013-specification Holden through its paces at the sun-bathed Ipswich circuit.

Tekno's team owner Steve Webb and engineer Perry Capper were invited to observe the test.
While the team is not expected to receive its two ‘turn-key' cars until early in the new year, Webb says that he's encouraged by Triple Eight's early start to its on-track development program.
“It's very pleasing from our view point, as a customer of Triple Eight Race Engineering, to know that they have the first Car of the Future out here testing,” Webb told Speedcafe.com.
“It's certainly an advance on any other team in pitlane. Their experience and the time they have on track will do nothing but benefit us for when our car arrives.
“We are very much at the forefront with Triple Eight during the development of this car. We know where they are heading, so when our cars are available to us, we'll be ready for a flying start.”
Webb confirmed that his deal with Triple Eight includes access to one of the team's spare chassis on an ‘as needed basis.'
Like Tekno, Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport will continue to run Triple Eight customer chassis when the new regulations are introduced.
