Two brand-new Walkinshaw Racing-built Holden Commodores are being shaken down at Winton Motor Raceway today.
Like its factory Ford counterparts Ford Performance Racing, Walkinshaw Racing will give two new cars their first 20 laps stints ahead of a full-blown test tomorrow.

The Walkinshaw Racing squad has an all-black Commodore VE at Winton today, alongside its first Car of the Future-specification Commodore that was debuted in September. Regular team stars Garth Tander and James Courtney will handle the driving duties.
The new black car, displaying #66, will be shaken down this morning and if it passes its systems checks, will undertake its first full test day today, according to team boss Steve Hallam.
Another new WR-built Commodore has also turned up at Winton in the hands of Tony D’Alberto Racing. The single car team has ended its two-year deal with FPR, making a return to WR-built chassis that it ran between 2005 and 2010.
D’Alberto has declined to make comment on its brand-new white Commodore. It is understood that the team will not release its plans on its new deal until the new year.
Also at Winton is Garry Rogers Motorsport and Dunlop Series team Matthew White Motorsport.
GRM will run its second COTF test day with new team signing Scott McLaughlin getting his first laps with the team as an ‘official driver.’ Regular driver Alexandre Premat is also at the circuit.
MWM has taken delivery of its newly-aquired FPR-built Falcon – the car Mark Winterbottom took to third place in this year’s V8 Supercars Championship.
