Greg Rust and Paul Morris discuss where and how Supercars could make important cost cuts in Episode 6 of the ARMOR ALL Summer Grill.
Cost-cutting has become a hot topic in Supercars with Triple Eight Race Engineering and Tickford Racing each handing back a Racing Entitlements Contract, and Garry Rogers Motorsport’s Barry Rogers calling for “significant changes” to reduce the cost burden on teams.
Supercars has now banned twin-spring dampers and selected a new transaxle supplier in a bid to reduce ongoing costs for competitors. although Triple Eight Race Engineering’s Roland Dane claims that more needs to be done.
Meanwhile, Kelly Racing’s final two seats are likely to be determined very much by commercial considerations.
