Walkinshaw Andretti United has unveiled its logo as the new Supercars partnership prepares for the 2018 season.
A fresh emblem has been created to represent the new partnership which will come into effect from January 1 next year.
According to the team, the helmet signifies the heritage and pedigree of both Walkinshaw Racing and Andretti Autosport, while the colours pay tribute to the Scottish and American flags, which represent the Walkinshaw, Andretti and Brown families.
“To create a logo that identifies with all three organisations was really important to us, and it’s turned out fantastic,” said Walkinshaw Racing director Ryan Walkinshaw.
“It really speaks to the heritage of Walkinshaw Racing, especially here in Australia, while at the same time clearly representing both Andretti Autosport and United Autosports.”
Andretti Autosport boss Michael Andretti believes the logo perfectly sums up the new operation.
“Our three teams have pulled together to create this new logo and I think it has come out fantastic.
“We dug deep to identify what best represents not just the new team, but each individual party as well.
“I’m so proud to have the Andretti Autosport brand represented alongside our new Supercars partners and can’t wait for 2018.”
“I think the new logo looks great. It captures all three companies in one visual representation and we at United Autosports are happy and proud to be associated with both Walkinshaw Racing and Andretti Autosport,” added Brown, United Autosports and McLaren Formula 1 boss.
Walkinshaw Andretti United will run ZB Commodores for drivers James Courtney and Scott Pye, who finished 21st and 12th in the standings this year.
After a challenging 2017, the squad hopes the new partnership will help the operation open up new avenues and recapture its form.
