Walkinshaw Andretti United will race under the banner of Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing in the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
The Clayton squad has confirmed that oil supplier Mobil 1 and mobile telecommunications company Boost Mobile will become co-naming rights partners of the operation.
Mobil 1 has sponsored the former Walkinshaw Racing operation for 25 years and to mark the occasion James Courtney will adopt the #25 on his new ZB Commodore instead of the traditional #22.
The team will run two new ZB Commodores this year for Courtney and team-mate Scott Pye.
This season will be the outfit's first under its new ownership structure following a buy-in by IndyCar giant Andretti Autosport and Zak Brown's United Autosports.
Walkinshaw Andretti United has released a new logo, website and merchandise range to coincide with the squad's new guise.
“To announce Mobil 1 and Boost Mobile as co-naming rights partners today is fantastic for the team,” said co-owner Ryan Walkinshaw.
“Having Mobil 1 as an integral partner to our team for a quarter of a century is a testament to the strength and integrity of our relationship. It's been an amazing journey with Mobil 1 so far.
“We have enjoyed a great deal of success together, so we are all absolutely delighted that our partnership is continuing in 2018, and they are remaining a co-naming rights partner.”
Fellow co-owner Michael Andretti is a fan of the switch of number given the #25 has long been associated with his IndyCar team.
“The No. 25 has been part of the Andretti Autosport stable in IndyCar, so it's also very neat to see James take on the No. 25 in honour of the 25-year relationship between Mobil 1 and the team,” said Andretti.
“Our team has been fortunate enough to work with Boost Mobile (US) on the IndyCar side, and we are excited to continue that relationship with the brand, this time in Australia.
“The website is live, fans can get merchandise, the car build is progressing, and Adelaide (March 1-4) is just around the corner.
“I feel like Walkinshaw Andretti United has arrived and I can't wait to get the season going.”
The Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Commodores are set to hit the track for the first time at the official pre-season test at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 16.
