Willowbank Raceway is taking on the theme parks in the bid for the holiday crowds this New Years, with tickets now on sale for the two-round New Year Series to take place on January 2/3 and 14/15.
The Ipswich drag strip has made tickets for the event available online at its website – www.willowbankraceway.com.au – at the perfect time for those still looking for Christmas gifts.
Tickets start at $35 for a general admission one-day pass, with children 13 and under free, and concessions for students with ID.
Willowbank Raceway Managing Director said Queensland’s premier drag racing facility was the place to be for holiday fun, with top tier drag racing an experience that had to be seen to be believed.
“Drag racing is just one of those sports where you have to be there to really experience the sights, the sounds, the smells, the whole experience,” said Bettes.
“The sport has something for everyone, and with a whole range of classes hitting the track over the two rounds plus free entry for children 13 and under and lots to see off the track at both events – the family is sure to be entertained.”
Round One kicks off on January 2nd and 3rd, hosting the Top Fuel Dragsters and Top Alcohol Funny Cars and Dragsters, before Round Two on January 14th and 15th will see the fire-throwing continue with Nitro Funny Cars joined by Top Doorslammers, a 16 car field of Pro Stock racers as well as the growing ProFX category, as well as sportsman racing at both rounds.
