Series leader Dale Wood has topped practice for Round 4 of Porsche Payce Carrera Cup Australia at Hidden Valley, ahead of Sonic Motor Racing team-mate Jordan Love.
Wood’s 1:07.4912s in the latter stages of Practice 2 was two tenths faster than Love’s best, with a third Sonic driver in Michael Almond just under two more tenths off the pace in the session.
It was 2018 series winner David Wall (Wall Racing), however, who ended up third on the combined timesheets by virtue of his Practice 1 benchmark of 1:07.7691s.
Behind Almond for the day overall was Cameron Hill (Cameron Hill Racing) in fifth position, from Nick McBride (Porsche Centre Melbourne), Thomas Maxwell (Sonic), and Steven Richards (Steven Richards Motorsport).
Adrian Flack led the way in the Pro-Am in 10th outright (combined times), two spots ahead of Warren Luff (McElrea Racing), who was hamstrung by a differential problem in the first session.
Qualifying for the first of three races starts tomorrow at 1135 local time/1205 AEST.
