Alex Davison has taken his second Carrera Cup win of the weekend, racing to a convincing victory on the streets of Adelaide.
Davison, driving the #7 Simjen Porsche, won last night's 30 minute twilight event, and added to that with a convincing victory this morning.
The former IRWIN Tools V8 driver encountered just two dramas during the race, the first was an early threat from Nick Foster, who blasted to the lead and front the field for the first five corners before spinning on his own.
Davison was left out front on his own, with his only other scare when he ran wide at Turn 9 on Lap 6. He recovered to take a one second win.
Baird finished second after disposing of Daniel Gaunt on Lap 6. The pair ran close together for the remaining laps.
Andre Heimgartner continued his strong weekend, taking fourth ahead of Tom Tweedie, Matt Kingsley, James Kondouris, Max Twigg, Tony Bates and a recovering Foster.
The third and final Carrera Cup race for the weekend will be run at 1320 tomorrow.
