A crash in a demonstration session has forced officials to make repairs to barriers at Albert Park which has resulted in a revised track schedule for Australian GT.
An Aston Martin Vantage road car is understood to have left the track during a demonstration run this morning causing damage to the tyre barriers and the wall at Turn 3.
As a result officials have been forced to amend the track schedule for today’s action while repairs are undertaken at that section of the circuit.
Australian GT Race 2 was scheduled for 1045 but is now expected to be moved to 1900 this evening, according to category organisers.
Formula 1 opening practice is due to begin at 1200 local time/AEDT
