Bathurst 1000 racers return to Mount Panorama

Two V8 Supercars from the early 2000s will grace Mount Panorama on November 8-10 at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst International.

The Precision National Sports Sedans grid will feature 16 cars, including two famous machines.

Stuart Inwood will drive the Stone Brothers Racing-built Ford AU Falcon formerly driven by Tony Longhurst and David Besnard.

The car came close to winning the first Bathurst 1000 of the new millennium having led with 11 laps to go.

However, a crash with another car ultimately brought their race to a premature end.

Hugh Zochling will bring the iconic green Europcar-backed Imrie Motorsport Holden VX Commodore driven by James Brock and Steve Owen in the 2001 Bathurst 1000.

Zochling last campaigned the car in the Combined Sedans field at this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour.

When is the Bathurst International?

This year’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst International takes place across November 8-10.

What categories are at the Bathurst International?

The Bathurst International will feature seven categories, headlined by the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS final and Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series title decider.

The card also features Trico Trans Am, Precision National Sports Sedan Series, Monochrome GT4 Australia, First Focus Radical Cup Australia, and Meguiar’s Production Cars.

The Bathurst International will be live and exclusively on the Seven Network on 7mate, 7two, and 7plus.

International viewers can watch via the SpeedSeries website.

Bathurst International TV schedule

Saturday’s coverage on 7plus begins at 11:30am AEDT and concludes at 6pm. Coverage on 7mate begins at 2pm and concludes at 4pm

Sunday’s broadcast on 7plus begins at 10am and concludes at 5:15pm while 7two will have coverage from 2pm to 4pm.

Friday’s practice is not broadcast.
