Will Davison says that his Trading Post FPR Falcon will need to be improved overnight if he is take a repeat victory in tomorrow's second leg of the ITM400 Hamilton.
Davison won today's race after leaping from sixth on the grid to second in the opening two corners.
The championship leader then pressured pole-sitter Garth Tander for 28 laps before taking the lead from the Holden Racing Team Commodore into Turn 1.
Davison saw a 4s lead evaporate with 20 laps remaining due to the calling of the race's only Safety Car period, after which point concentration became a key factor.

“In that last stint… I certainly wasn't comfortable,” said Davison after his third victory of the season.
“My car was holding onto its tyres well, but they certainly do degrade here.
“The tyres (apex bundle) moved slightly at the chicane, (and) you're never comfortable around this place. If you lose concentration for a second then you're in the wall so quickly.
“I really had to talk to myself a lot because I started going away with the pixies there in those last few laps. I had to keep my eye on the prize.
“The car was getting looser and looser and I had to stay on top of it.
“Clearly we're pretty strong, but I think we're going to need to tweak it up a bit tomorrow to hang onto P1.”
Davison has further tweaked his seat this weekend as part of a continued effort to minimise the effects of a circulation issue that has afflicted the former Bathurst winner for some time, and says he felt the changes have been a step in the right direction.
“Pretty good to be honest,” he said of his physical condition during the race.
“I won't say perfect but I certainly wasn't in strife like sometimes I've been, so happy with the progress I'd say.”
The V8 Supercars will return to the Hamilton street circuit for qualifying at 1205 local time tomorrow ahead of Race 6 at 1505.
The 200km affair will mark Will Davison's 200th V8 Supercars Championship race start.
