De Pasquale to contest 2020 Bathurst 6 Hour

Penrite Racing’s Anton De Pasquale has been confirmed as a starter for next year’s Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour.

De Pasquale will join grassroots racers Steve Pittman and Michael Hopp in Spartan 1 Motorsport’s HSV VE GTS for the Easter production car endurance race.

Spartan 1 was formed after Pittman and Hopp won Class E with a Suzuki Swift in this year’s edition.

“We are keen to rustle some feathers and shake things up a bit,” said Pittman, the team owner.

“We are excited to see what Anton can bring to the mix.”

The trio will compete in Class A2 for extreme performance, naturally aspirated cars.

The outing will not be De Pasquale’s first foray into endurance racing at Mount Panorama outside of the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

He was also a late call-up for this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour, in which he shared a MARC Car with Paul Tracy, Paul Morris, and Keith Kassulke.

Next year’s Bathurst 6 Hour, and event that was recently purchased by ARG, will be held on April 10-12.
