Dick Johnson is already making efforts to rebuild his racing team, confirming he is seeking a new team manager for next season.
After months of uncertainty, Johnson has finally concluded a deal to buy back the majority share of his team from former co-owner Charlie Schwerkolt who has elected to step aside.

With current sporting director Adrian Burgess taking up the lead team management role at TeamVodafone next year, and Dick Johnson Racing’s future secured, Johnson is now hunting for a new team manager – and he only wants the best.
“We’re looking for a team manager at this point in time, and I want to see what’s available out there,” he said.
“We’ve had a couple of people who have come forward and expressed interest, but we haven’t advertised the fact that the position is available.
“Moving forward is a big thing for us now, and to do that, we want the best.
“We want to come back next year as being one of the front-running teams with the best people in the game.”
Johnson respected the direction that Burgess has taken by moving to the team that DJR need to beat this weekend.
“Adrian is in a situation where he has gone to another team, and quite frankly, I wish him all the best,” he said.
“Anyone that comes into our deal and gets better offers in other areas to advance their careers, I’m more than happy to be in a situation where we help.”
