Dean Fiore will team up with Marc Cini and David Reynolds in a Porsche GT3 Cup S in next year’s 2011 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour event at Mount Panorama, Bathurst.
The West Australian V8 Supercars driver will join the Hallmarc team of car owner Cini and star recruit Reynolds.
It will be reunion of sorts for Reynolds and Fiore who are both Formula Ford and Carrera Cup proteges of Sonic Motor Racing Services.
All three drivers have significant miles under their belts behind the wheel of a Porsche, having all raced each other in the Carrera Cup category.
Cini has also campaigned a GT3 Cup Car and the Cup S versions in the Australian GT Championship for several years.
“I’ve been mates with Marc for a while now as we used to race in Carrera Cup together. I am really looking forward to 12 Hours around the iconic Bathurst track. You can never have too many miles around the mountain,” Fiore said.
“I am also really good mates with Dave, so we should all make for a ripper team.”
Cini is also looking forward to taking his Porsche to Bathurst to contest the 2011 Armor All Bathurst 12 hour race.
“It’s one of those perfect scenarios to race at an event with talent such as Dean and Dave. We all know each other very well, and there’s no doubt their speed is unquestionable,” Cini said.
The 2011 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour will be held at Mount Panorama on February 4-6, 2011.
