The line-up of co-drivers for October’s Armor All Gold Coast 600 continues to take shape, with 12 internationals having now been officially locked in.
This morning saw Stone Brothers Racing announce its trio of Simon Pagenaud, Jeroen Bleekemolen and David Brabham, who will team with Lee Holdsworth, Shane van Gisbergen and David Brabham respectively.

As the 2012 Gold Coast race date clashes with events for a host of international categories including the American Le Mans Series, World Touring Car Championship, DTM, British Touring Car Championship and NASCAR Sprint Cup, many of the remaining seats are likely to be filled by current IndyCar drivers.
Australia’s two representatives in the open-wheel class, Ryan Briscoe and Will Power, are expected to join their already confirmed colleagues Pagenaud, Sebastien Bourdais and Marco Andretti in the Gold Coast field.
It is thought that Briscoe will link with Walkinshaw Racing for the third successive year, while Power is set to return to Ford Performance Racing after missing the 2011 event while recovering from a back injury.
Other IndyCar stars currently being touted for a Gold Coast appearance include previous visitors Helio Castroneves and Dario Franchitti, as well as potential newcomers James Hinchcliffe, Graham Rahal and Justin Wilson.
Additionally, American website speedtv.com is reporting that V8 Supercars is still hoping to attract current Formula 1 drivers to the event. It is thought that V8 Supercars could be holding as many as five seats open on the unlikely chance any of the F1 drivers can be enticed into heading to Australia in between the Korean and Indian Grands Prix.
