Russell Ingall has topped the morning practice session ahead of Race 19 of the V8 Supercars Championship at the Sydney Motorsport Park 360 this morning.
The Supercheap Auto Racing Commodore VE driver led a host of Holdens at the front of the field, with Jamie Whincup, Garth Tander, Fabian Coulthard and yesterday’s race winner Craig Lowndes.
Shane van Gisbergen was the fastest of the Fords in sixth place, and provided one of the more entertaining moments of the session when he drifted his SP Tools Falcon through the fast Turn 1 sweeper.
Rounding out the top 10 was van Gisbergen’s Stone Brothers Racing team-mate Tim Slade, James Moffat, Michael Caruso and Jason Bright.
Qualifying will be held at 1225, followed by Race 19 at 1535.
