Kumho Tyres will continue as the control supplier to the V8 Touring Car Series for a further three years.
The Korean firm has played the role of tyre supplier since the third-tier V8 Supercars class began in 2008.
The series is run on the Shannons Nationals card, with one round of the 2013 season remaining at Sandown in November.
Category director Rob Curkpartrick said that he had received tenders for the new deal from other tyre companies.
“Kumho have been long-time supporters of what we have been trying to do with the V8 Touring Car category,” he said.
“They’ve constantly listened to competitor feedback and worked hard to test and improve their product.
“We’ve had interest from other tyre companies under the tender process, though Kumho again had the best balance of price structure, performance and support.”
The Shannons Nationals is in action at Wakefield Park this weekend with the Australian Manufacturers’ Championship, Radical Cup and Swift Racing Series supported by New South Wales state Formula Ford, production touring car and HQ Holden classes.
