The biggest year-on-year change is the absence of Phillip Island, which has effectively been replaced by Winton.
The season will open at the rural Victoria circuit on May 1-3 and resumes later that month at Sydney Motorsport Park on May 30-31.
The Bend Motorsport Park will host back-to-back events, beginning with the ‘West’ configuration on July 17-19 and then the ‘International’ layout on August 21-23.
The season will conclude at Sydney Motorsport Park on September 11-13.
Promoters have indicated up to 12 of the second-generation Formula 4 cars will enter the 2026 season, with nearly as many first-generation cars expected too.
Organisers said the four circuits will give drivers a “good balance between speed and technical strengths.”
“The 2026 season builds on the growth the category has enjoyed since returning to the Australian motorsport landscape after Covid-19 shutdowns in 2023,” said category organisers in a statement.
“With drivers as young as 14 able to compete in Gen1 machinery, while those aged 15 and above can step into the newer Gen2 cars, the championship gives rising talent the opportunity to experience national-level competition from the moment they can get their circuit licence.
“The prizes for the Gen2 and Gen1 Championship and details of the 2026 drivers and teams will be announced in the following weeks.”
