Following damage suffered in separate crashes at The Bend, neither the reigning champions Jason Gomersall/Aaron Seton nor second place Dean Campbell/Cameron Crick will be present at ‘The Paperclip’.
The car was badly damaged in a qualifying crash with substitute driver Tom McLennan at the wheel during Round 2 at The Bend.
The team was forced to withdraw the car for the remainder of the weekend, adding to an already hampered title defence.
Gomersall and Seton sit a lowly 12th in Silver-Am points after a difficult start to the season.
An issue for the car forced a DNF in Race 1 at Phillip Island, while the pair were involved in a bizarre pit stop procedural issue which saw almost a dozen cars penalised after Race 2.
The #32 Randall Racing BMW M4 will also not be present at QR, with personal commitments for Jacob Lawrence sidelining him and co-driver Lachlan Mineeff.
With a podium appearance in Race 1 followed by solid results, the pair sit second in the class standings, with only Ryder Quinn ahead after two class victories.
The #21 Team MPC-run Mustang will have a different pro driver aboard for Round 3, with TFH Racing’s Josh Thomas stepping in alongside Jarrod Keyte in place of Tony D’Alberto.
Sheer consistency over the first two rounds sees Blake Tracey and George Miedecke occupy the Silver Cup championship lead heading into Round 3.
A DNF and an 11th place class finish at The Bend saw reigning champion Tom Hayman and co-driver Jett Murray plummet down to fourth in the standings.
A maiden race win in Round 2 for Jarrod Hughes and Summer Rintoule saw the pair shoot up the order to sixth, looking to continue the upward trajectory after a tough start to the season.
Historically a strong circuit for the McLaren Artura, Hughes and Rintoule will look to repeat their podium appearance earned last year in Mercedes-AMG equipment.
Glenn Walker leads the way in the Am Cup standings, just eight points clear of the Method Motorsport-run Porsche of Chris Lillis and Nathan Callaghan.
Both entries sit comfortably clear of Peter Lawrence in third, however with four rounds remaining the class honours remain hotly contested.
GT4 Australia will run a pair of one-hour races over the weekend, including a twilight affair starting at 5:00pm AEST on Saturday evening.
All of the weekend’s action can be viewed on Fox Sports and Kayo from 8:15am AEST on Saturday and 10:00am AEST on Sunday.
