There will be an addition to the Paynter Dixon Touring Car Masters grid this weekend when Fataz Racing debuts a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in the series.
Ian Woodward, of Brisbane’s Fataz Competition Engines, will drive the car as he and the team move up from state-level Trans-Am racing where they have enjoyed multiple titles.
“We’re really excited to be stepping up as a team to the Touring Car Masters series and getting to race at the biggest motorsport events in the country,” said Woodward.
“It’s a new challenge for the Fataz Racing team.
“The field in the Touring Car Masters is a real step up in competition but we’re looking forward to getting the new car on track and building on that progress for the rest of the year.”
Fataz is set to see out the season in TCM, beginning with Round 3 at the Winton SuperSprint this weekend (May 18-20).
John Bowe currently tops the overall and Pro Masters standings from 2017 series winner Steven Johnson.
