Shane van Gisbergen will this evening discuss his plans for 2013 in his first extended interview since the end of last year’s V8 Supercars Championship.
The Kiwi made a high-profile post-season exit from long-time employer Stone Brothers Racing amid the outfit’s move to a new future as Erebus Motorsport.
The 23-year-old has spent the intervening months in his native New Zealand, where he has been dabbling in drifting, speedway and rallying.
Long rumoured to be contemplating appearances in the country’s own V8 SuperTourer Series, Van Gisbergen is also being linked to a return to V8 Supercars with Tekno Autosports.
Tekno is yet to confirm its second driver or major sponsor for next season, as in addition to having endurance seats available.
Van Gisbergen will discuss his plans with Shaun Sommerfield on New Zealand’s TV3 news bulletin this evening.
