Two motorcycle riders have been banned for two years after a crash and on-track fight during a race of the Costa Rica National Motorbike Championship.
Jorge Martinez and Marión Calvo made contact going down a straight at the Circuito Grupo Sur, which led to Martinez mounting Calvo’s bike.
When they came to a halt, as Martinez’s bike speared back across the track, Martinez swung a haymaker which caused Calvo to lose balance.
The altercation briefly continued as their competitors dodged them, before Calvo rode and Martinez had to walk back to the pits.
The incident took place in February although both have only just been handed their bans.
