Washout for NHRA Atlanta

The Atlanta Dragway NHRA event has had to be postponed after persistent rain in the area played havoc with organisers.

NHRA and track officials called the event early based on rain falling and the forecast of no further improvement.

All teams will return next weekend where two qualification runs will be held on Friday and the eliminations to begin at 11am local time on Saturday.

Only some Pro Stock competitors were able to get down the track before the rains struck, with Rickie Jones setting the pace in his Camaro.
