The FIM has today announced an amended provisional calendar for the 2010 MotoGP World Championship.
There are five date changes to the previously announced calendar, which was altered due to several key dates clashing with a number of high profile Formula One races.
The revised schedule now has the French GP at Le Mans taking place a week later (May 23) than originally scheduled to avoid a clash with a new date for the Monaco F1 race.
Both the Mugello and Silverstone events have also received a date change, effectively swapping in the order but also moving to June 6 and 20 respectively. This now also means that the Silverstone event, being held at the venue for the first time in 24 years, will no longer clash with the Isle of Man TT event.
The FIM has also altered the date of the San Marino race, Valentino Rossi’s home race, from September 12 to September 5. This is to avoid a clash with the Italian F1 Grand Prix at Monza.
