Alvaro Bautista will return for a second season on a Pull&Bear Aspar Ducati in 2018.
Currently riding the Ducati GP16, Bautista has achieved a best result of fourth so far this year, in Argentina.
That result is one of four top 10s from five race finishes in the 2017 campaign, with the Spaniard crashing in five races (but remounting for a 15th position finish in the USA).
Nevertheless, Bautista is 11th in the world standing at the halfway mark of the season.
“I am happy to be spending another season as part of the Pull&Bear Aspar Team family,” said the 32-year-old.
“We are having a strong season, I have a good relationship with the team and I feel very comfortable on the Ducati and with the support from the factory.
“I think we can continue to improve and achieve good results.”
Aspar general manager Jorge Martinez also hailed the re-signing of Bautista, who won the 125cc title during a four-year spell with the team before graduating to the premier class.
“It is good news for the Pull&Bear Aspar Team that we have reached this agreement with Álvaro Bautista,” said Martinez.
“We believe in him and we are enjoying a very strong season.
“We also have a lot of faith in Ducati, we get great support from the factory and through extending this relationship, together we can improve even more.”
MotoGP returns from its winter break with the Czech Grand Prix in Brno from August 4-6.
