Craig Lowndes has taken his third pole position of the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship ahead of Race 11 at Phillip Island this afternoon.
The TeamVodafone driver’s final flyer of 1:32.32s proved 0.19s quicker than the similarly late effort of David Reynolds.
Will Davison set the third fastest time in his repaired Tradingpost Falcon, and will share the second row with team-mate and title rival Mark Winterbottom.
Jason Bright, Jamie Whincup, Michael Patrizi, Shane van Gisbergen, Fabian Coulthard and Jonathon Webb round out the top 10.
The 20 minute session was run under sunny skies following a gloomy morning at the Victorian circuit.
The 200km Race 11 is set to kick-off at 1540 local time.
