Iconic multi-national toy brand Hot Wheels will feature at this year's Clipsal 500 Adelaide as a sponsor of Matt Mingay's Stuntzinc support act.
Mingay and his team, which currently includes motorcycles and Holden Utes, have performed between racing action at each of the last 11 Clipsal 500s.
Struck late last year, the deal marks a move back into the Australian motorsport arena for Hot Wheels, which previously sponsored the V8 Supercars races at the Australian Grand Prix from 1999 to 2001.
Its involvement also saw backing a one-off V8 Supercar drive for Sam Newman at Albert Park in 2000.
The company has pushed its ‘Team Hot Wheels' stunts in recent years, which famously included a successful four-wheeled distance jump record attempt at the 2011 Indianapolis 500.
“It's a real dream come true,” said Mingay of the deal.
“I was performing at the Formula 1 in 2002 (Melbourne) and saw the Hot Wheels Promo Team there, and I was impressed with their whole show.
“From that moment my goal was to become the Hot Wheels stunt rider. So to now be classified officially as the Hot Wheels stunt rider really is the culmination of that dream.”
