The first Isuzu SuperUte has been shaken down by driver Steve Wilson ahead of the two-day test at Winton next month.
Wilson cut laps in the D-Max at Norwell Motorplex on the Gold Coast, having missed the opening round in Adelaide earlier this month owing to the car’s engine not being complete.
“We ran the car yesterday afternoon for the first time at Norwell; (it) went well,” Wilson told Speedcafe.com of his run in the Ross Stone Racing-prepared SuperUte.
“The car feels good and I’m looking forward to racing in the next round in May.”
Wilson confirmed that he will be among the large contingent which will test at Winton on April 12-13.
Round 2 of the ECB SuperUtes Series will take place at the same venue on May 18-20.
