Juan Pablo Montoya has paced practice ahead of Saturday night’s Sprint Cup Series event at Richmond International Raceway.
Montoya is still looking for his first oval-track NASCAR Sprint Cup race victory, and ended the ‘Happy Hour’ practice session 0.001s ahead of Kevin Harvick.
Car Edwards, Regan Smith and Clint Bowyer rounded out the top five.
Australian Marcos Ambrose set the 16th fastest time, improving from 31st in the opening session.
Dale Earnhardt Jnr was fastest in Practice 1, but fell to 26th in Practice 2.
