The Argentinian Motorcycle Grand Prix will be held at the Termas Rio Hondo circuit until 2019 following the announcement of a new contract.
The circuit joined the MotoGP calendar in 2014 with Sunday's bizarre flag-to-flag race, won by Marc Marquez, the third at the venue.
Having been well received by spectators since the inaugural race, a new agreement has been reached between MotoGP owners Dorna and the local government to ensure its remains a fixture on the championship's calendar.
“We are very pleased to reach this agreement with Termas de Rio Hondo and all the parties involved,” Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta said.
”It has been a good project so far with everyone involved helping to create a great circuit, and atmosphere for racing.
“South America has a very big passion for motorsport and we're proud to continue bringing MotoGP to Argentina for three more years.”
The Autodromo Oscar Alfredo Galvez, situated in the country's capital circuit Buenos Aires, hosted the race from 1961 to 1999.
