Reynolds sets pace in wet first practice

David Reynolds

David Reynolds

David Reynolds has finished a wet first practice for the Trading Post Perth Challenge on top of the time sheets.

The Bottle-O Racing Falcon driver ended the first of two bottom 50 percent sessions 0.20s faster than Greg Murphy.

Murphy’s 1:03.78s effort was the fastest of the early laps before further rain slowed the field.

The Pepsi Max Commodore held the top spot until Reynolds set two successive quick times inside the final 10 minutes.

Russell Ingall was third fastest while Dean Fiore and James Courtney completed the top five.

The session ended when Taz Douglas beached his iSelect Commodore in the Turn 7 sand trap with two minutes remaining, bringing out the red flags.

The second bottom 50 percent session will kick-off at 1220 local time.
