Super2 leader to make Aussie Racing Cars cameo in Tasmania

Bryce Fullwood, winner of Round 1 of the 2019 Dunlop Super2 Series, will drive in Aussie Racing Cars at next month’s Tyrepower Tasmania SuperSprint.

Western Sydney Motorsport team owner Craig Thompson has advised Speedcafe.com that the 20-year-old’s ride will be the car driven by Craig Woods in Adelaide, which has been repaired after a hit with the Turn 8 wall.

Fullwood has one event start to date in Aussie Racing Cars, winning the final race and the weekend in a non-points round at his home track of Hidden Valley Raceway last year.

The Northern Territorian’s team-mate for the Symmons Plains weekend, Justin Ruggier, took out Round 1 in Adelaide with three races wins out of four.

In Super2, Fullwood, who has returned to MW Motorsport in 2019, claimed two race wins out of three to head Brodie Kostecki by 20 points after the first of seven race weekends for the second tier.

The Tasmania SuperSprint takes place at Symmons Plains International Raceway on April 5-7, while Super2 heads across the Nullarbor for its second round at the Pirtek Perth SuperNight in early May.
